The Chill Out Area at Barefoot Festival™ 2018 will be a huge 3-day celebration of Yoga, therapies and meditative movement practices.

Set away from the hustle and bustle of the workshop and music areas, it will be a place to take it easy, relax and rejuvenate, make new friends, enjoy some new yoga moves and deepen some existing ones.

Connecting to your Inner Goddess with Sandra Gorlero-Barnes - Our time together will allow you to connect with the sacred feminine & honour your inner Goddess and the power of shakti. We will journey through the chakras, our energy centres and what areas they each rule in our life’s. All offered through juicy and flowing Yoga asanas, guided meditations, positive affirmations, beautiful mudras, and empowering mantras. The session will be energising and nourishing, culminating in a relaxing guided meditation and onto a soothing sound bath. Suitable for all levels.

Shamanic Journeying with Dawn Wesselby - Shamanism takes the view that there are two different aspects to being on earth, the ordinary, everyday and a second ‘non-ordinary’ reality (NOR) where anything is possible. It is from this place that our ideas and creativity come. Travelling to the NOR allows you to view your life from a different perspective. The session will include travelling to meet your power animal and to spend time with them to see what guidance or gifts they have for you at this time. The session will include a brief introduction to the process, time to journey and the opportunity to feedback and share experiences.

Cuddle Therapy with Victoria Jane Rainbow - A workshop which focuses on the importance of platonic touch to our health and emotional wellbeing. It explores how touch increases the production of oxytocin and the benefits that this holds for us. We look at how to use touch safely and respectfully as well as giving clear communication on what type of touch is required and when we do not want touch at all. It’s a workshop that enhances a feeling of bliss, happiness and connection​.​

Sharing is Caring, Playful Partner Yoga & Massage with Sandra Gorlero-Barnes - In this practise, you will find out, how by joyfully working together, and opening up to share your space with others, you can achieve a much deeper stretch and more optimum asana experience. We shall be connecting, not just to one another, but to the prana within and around us with a focus on the energy exchange of giving and receiving. Together we will create our own human mandala, bringing us all closer, as one. Massage and touch, will be woven into, and throughout the workshop. People will then be invited to journey on a guided meditation culminating with a sound bath. Suitable for all levels.

Inversion with AJ Hartley - A FUN, EXCITING & EMPOWERING workshop that creates a safe and comfortable environment for you to begin, or deepen, your inversion practice. With a large focus on headstands, t takes the time to ensure you fully understand the correct alignment and body positioning, how to build up strength in the key areas and how to build up to your inversion. You come away with a little takeaway toolkit allowing you to continue practicing safely and confidently outside of the workshop.

The workshop will remind you that you are capable of achieving anything you put your mind to and inspire you to push yourself in a positive and fun way. The workshop will focus on building up to a variety of different headstands, regardless of your experience with them at present, and leave you feeling motivated, strong and confident in the pose, but most of all, in yourself!

Yin / Restorative Yoga with Jane Railton - Yin / Restorative Class is a very slow and gentle class. You will typically be in 5-6 postures in each class, and holding those postures from 3-10 minutes. Holding postures for a long period of time, allows you the time to focus your mind, this can create a sense of calm and peace. As you are resting in postures with plenty of support, you can more easily let relax and this gives your body the time to restore and reset.

If you are continually on the go or stressed, this can affect your body and mind, in these classes you give yourself the time to slow down, relax your body and calm your mind. During these class essential oils may be burnt, with relaxing music and inspirational quotes read. These classes can be deeply calming and relaxing and many people find their mind is quieter and they feel less emotional after a class. Please bring a pillow or cushion and blanket to this class.

In this workshop, we will be using Feng Shui and visualisation techniques and giving you an introduction into how decluttering your space can help you clear out unwanted emotions and how clearly visualising what you want, can support manifesting this into your life.
