Mortimer Moonbender at Barefoot Festival™ 2018

Mortimer Moonbender - The name is a trampoline figure and slang meaning that you make love in every each way that you make a bend over the moon and come back. He came to Brussels from the deep Ardennes almost ten years ago. Strict upbringing and English breakfast every morning made him someone reserve and a tall nice plant (1m92).

He lives of small jobs: carwash boy, janitor (that's why it is good in Kittening), milk-men, travel agent, taster at Glu, one-hole-flute tester, profiler amateur... He also likes Swing music, comics and Cava. After being director's assistant in Theatre and playing improv and performances, he became a Boylesque. Since one year, his British humour and his lanky alluring made him the new sensational thing to see.

Stage Door Johnny at Barefoot Festival™ 2019

Stage Door Johnny - has been involved in theatre since the age of 15 and has a degree and Masters in Theatre and Performance.

After seeing the many shows at The Candybox in the Midlands, amongst them the famous St Valentine’s Day Mascara show, he was inspired to come together with friends to hold their own burlesque night in Lichfield. Their first show under their newly formed production company, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, was called From Russia With Love and Lichfield didn’t know what had hit them! Since then he has gone on to hold many Kiss Kiss Bang Bang shows and has branched out to Très Très Cabaret where he aims to bring decadence, delight and perhaps a touch of debauchery.

"Historically, in times of austerity and depression the burlesque and cabaret scene has a resurgence, and I think it's because audiences want a reason to get glammed up and have an extravagant night out and a bit of a splurge, when they might be economising in other areas. It's the modern day Cinderella story: we spend our lives in the daily grind of jobs and running households, but for one night, you get to go out in a stunning outfit and experience things you've never imagined. I guess that makes me your personal fairy godmother! So put your cares aside for one night and let your hair down!"
